So, as you can see, I haven’t been on here in awhile. I hope you all didn’t miss me too much.
In the time I’ve been gone, I’ve gone through phases of changing my hair (and there is still more change to be done; I want my hair to be long in the back with a “v” tip at the end, mullet-short bangs and a single white highlight, pronounced), listening to some new music (H.I.M., The Cure. etc.) and I have gotten in some innocent trouble. I’ve also become closer to a certain person who I am now in a relationship with. To say this year has been eventful so far would be a bit of an understatement. To be honest, as of late, I’ve been getting bored with things. I am on break (not really; I still have to go to Track practice everyday). I did do something yesterday. I went and saw “Ghostrider 2″ with my brother, dad, boyfriend & his younger sister. I’ll admit, the movie was okay… for a sequel. The first was much better and easier to follow. And once the movie actually started, the whole thing was awkward. There weren’t many people in the theater, surprisingly. I think everyone went to go see it in 3D. -_-
I’ve been reading the book “The Future of Us” by Jay Asher and some other author (not bothering to mention them due to laziness). It’s a good book… if only I were less lazy and read it more.
Yes,it’s been a minute (by minute,I mean a long while) since I’ve posted on here. But,that’s besides the point.Let’s forget all about that and get back into a weekly routine, shall we?Also,I’ve been thinking throughout the week to do mini posts,or themed days (a.k.a. Musical Mondays),but I’m still thinking about it.What do you think?Comment down below on what you’d like to see from this blog.
*Lol of the week*
A bit of news relating to this: This weekend,I made the homepage twice on gocryemokid.com.It’s a good feeling,to see that my “work” can be acknowledged from time to time.
Here are the lols that made the front page:
Title reads: I guess duct tape doesn’t fix everything
and
Title reads: They didn’t get the ‘look scary’ memo either
Yes,I used the same picture.I was trying to see which,if any, would make the home page.Little did I know both ended up on there.
—Song of the week—
“Just Another Psycho” by Mötley Crüe
:”Hey!Use-this-phrase-not-that-one” Of the week:
Instead of saying someone is like your brother, say that you see them fraternally.
<<Learned/Opinions/Realized>>
1.Most people are obsessed with being “normal”.
Notice the quotation marks around the world “normal”.Really, what is “normal”?Everyone has different views and different things are normal for different people. There isn’t a base standard for it.Plus, supposedly, everyone is different. So how can such an abstract thing as “normal” exist?I’d rather be myself than be normal, because, were I normal,I’d be faking, posing;all my real identity and self would not be seen.I’m a good actor, but I don’t want to act every time others are around. >_>
2.As much as people may not admit it,people silently (or not) judge people in a biased, generalized, and stereotypical way, hardly ever in a positive way.
Come on,this one you know to be true;people hear or see someone or something about someone and suddenly, conclusions are jumped to,snarky comments are made.Maybe people need to learn how to not be gossip mongers and judgmental. It annoys some of the rest of us.Like if you agree.
3.Some people are all too eager to follow something or someone if they see “good reason”.But they hear contrary evidence and they get defensive and accusative.
Can’t people think for themselves and follow their judgement more when it counts?
4.Excuses don’t justify anything.
That’s why they’re excuses,not reasons.
5.”Non-conformists” tend to conform a “non-conformist” subculture.
Just take a look at Hipsters.
Well,I guess that’s all I can manage for now.Comment and request, please.Thank you all.
This week has been rather… interesting.I guess it’s just things going on that I’m starting to pay more attention to,the attention paid to the daily grind, and I feel like I’m starting to notice the little things in life, the things usually taken for granted.A new perspective,a new lease on life,I’m growing up,yadda yadda yadda.Same old story.
-Lol of the week-
This caught my attention because I had a connection to it…because the way the person broke the “I want to break up with you” news is so bittersweet, and it’s the approach I take.I don’t like being to forward because it seems blunt and rude.Maybe I like to prolong the uncomfortable and inevitable.
I also recognized the exact song and got it stuck in my head.
Let’s make that song our song of the week:
The song is: “Afterlife” by Avenged Sevenfold
Ironic that I don’t even really know one band member from the other, let alone their names, and yet Avenged Sevenfold is one of my favorite bands…I am a horrible fan.
I guess I just like imagining what they’re like because what they’re really like is … disappointing compared to how I imagine them.
I realize that this applies to many of my favorite bands.
…
From now on I’ll make it my duty to know more about the people behind the music.
*”Hey!Use-this-phrase-not-that-one!” Of the week*
Instead of saying “That’s what she said”,say “Sounds like my first time…” (it’s the new “that’s-what-she-said”).There are conditions with using this phrase, though…more info in the source.
1.There are always people who intend to give good advice but phrase things badly
But don’t be offended;have some consideration, because they’re trying to help
2.You can beat around the bush, but the bush won’t be there forever,so know when to get to the point
3.Spending too much time contemplating something is just as bad as not spending enough time contemplating something (a.k.a. neither extreme does very good, usually it’s better to be in the middle, moderate)
4.Even as we’re living,we’re dying
But don’t let it get you down, this is all the better reason to have a well spent life and keeping this fact in perspective can help with a lot of things in life
5. Ask yourself occasionally if you want to be doing what you’re doing
If the answer is “No” too many times in a row, something has got to be changed
Ahh…relief to get that all out. It’s good to just put it all down in some way more tangible than just jumbled mental notes,y’know?
The week has gone by slowly, yet not all that slow. It’s gone by,then,at a good pace, and I have no regrets that I can think of for this past week.I’ve had enough time to stall on some matter, though, like personal things that have to be worked out with certain people and just other tasks that I need to address. But for now,I feel content,as if I’ve done well.
I’m reading a book called “Debbie Harry Sings in French”,and this (song of the week) is the song they mean. The book is pretty good so far,but it was really messed up in the beginning.
This book will probably be the reason I’ll get in to all this great music.
=Lol of the week=
You all know this is how you feel…
*Learned/Realized this week…*
1.People often misinterpret things
2.People jump to the most extreme conclusions sometimes
3.People ask question they already know the answer to,just to feel like they know something (also, for confirmation of a fact)
4.As much as you think you know someone, you’ll never really know unless you can literally live their life and feel their feelings
5.People would eventually get bored of living if they could live forever
“Hey!Use this word instead of this one!”Of the week
Instead of epic,say “boss”
ei: “Dude, those explosions and fights in Transformers:Dark of the Moon were BOSS!”
-Lol of the week-
Seriously?Bitch please.Even if you believe in religion,God or someone had to make us somehow, right?Science and religion can coexist if we’re open minded enough.
Keeping the theme going here…
*Song of the week*
+Learned/realized this week+
1.Temptation can strike at anytime, but it’s important to have self control!
2.Keep the end in mind, using this perspective is good overall in life
3.Live everyday without regrets,as if it is your last, because one day, you’ll be right
4.Try to think about how your actions affect the big picture
5.Back away from a situation sometimes, because sometimes,it’s just not worth it.
